Not Shows (Drama Club Events)
First Semester
Drama Club Barbecue - Aug. 28
"Small cheer and great welcome makes a merry feast."
–Comedy of Errors, III.i
BBQ is George Drama's earliest annual event. We bring the food, and all of our members get together to have a great time in the park, introducing what Drama is all about to our newest members! Food, games, and hilarious performances from the Executive Board are all present! Come join us!
George Drama Game Night - Sep. 18
“...The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!”
–1 Henry IV, III.i
Game Night was introduced last year as a great way to get to know your fellow Drama Club members a lot better! We gather at a member's house to play board games for an evening, and enjoy a fabulous time of imperialism, capitalistic mayhem, piracy, strategic lateral word construction, and many other unforgettable experiences only available from cardboard mats and small bits of plastic, enamel, and wood!
Murder Mystery - Oct. 16
“Murder most foul, as in the best it is
But this most foul, strange and unnatural!”
–Hamlet, I.v
Drama Club (of course) hosts the best Halloween party at GW! A future crime scene is chosen, and roles are assigned to everyone who signs up. The characters then assemble at the location of choice and commence a classy shindig. The party is going fine, until...MURDER! The characters must then solve the crime, and find out which among them is the culprit!
Movie-a-Thon - Dec. 18-19
“The iron tongue of midnight hath told twelve...
'tis almost fairy time.”
–A Midsummer Night's Dream, V.i
A wonderful way to spend a cold winter night, this is another long-time George Drama tradition. Our members hole up in a cozy house for an evening, watching many movies straight until the next morning! We try to have a great mix of films so everyone can enjoy their night, and we bring all kinds of food to munch while experiencing nonstop cinematic joy! |
